Data Deletion Policy
Effective date: December 20, 2025
1. Purpose
This Data Deletion Policy describes how users of GTFS Lens may delete data associated with their use of the Application and how such data is handled once deletion is requested. GTFS Lens is operated by strada360.
2. Scope
This policy applies to private GTFS datasets uploaded by users, analytical data derived from those datasets, and user account information. It does not apply to publicly available GTFS datasets published by third-party transit agencies.
3. Deleting Private GTFS Datasets
Users may delete private GTFS datasets at any time through the GTFS Lens interface.
When a private GTFS dataset is deleted:
• The uploaded GTFS files are removed from storage.
• Any derived analytical or intermediate data associated with the dataset is deleted.
• Access to the dataset is immediately revoked.
4. Public GTFS Datasets
Public GTFS datasets accessible within GTFS Lens are sourced from transit agencies and other publicly available repositories. Users cannot delete public datasets through the Application. Removal or modification of public datasets is governed by the publishing agency or data provider.
5. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their GTFS Lens account. Upon account deletion, all private datasets uploaded by the user, along with associated analytical data, are permanently removed. Public datasets remain unaffected.
6. Backups and System Logs
Deleted data may persist temporarily in encrypted system backups or operational logs. Such data is retained only as necessary for security, auditing, or disaster recovery purposes and is automatically purged in accordance with standard retention schedules.
7. Deletion Processing Time
Deletion of private datasets is typically processed immediately. In certain cases, complete removal from all systems may take additional time due to background processing or backup cycles.
8. Legal and Regulatory Requirements
strada360 may retain limited information where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements, even after a deletion request.
